Santa Claus is Comin' To Town Joins Enesco Family!
As RUDOLPH & FROSTY Enjoyed another CHRISTMAS IN JULY...NEWS arrived that they will be joined in the ENESCO Product line by SANTA CLAUS IS COMIN' TO TOWN! The Following ENESCO PRESS release was made available:
Itasca, Ill., June 10, 2003 – Enesco Group, Inc. (NYSE: ENC), a leader in the giftware, collectible and home décor industry, today announced that the Company signed a multi-year license agreement with Classic Media, the New York-based family entertainment company that is home to Underdog, Lassie and The Lone Ranger, to develop seasonal giftware products based on the classic Rankin/Bass holiday animated holiday feature, Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town.
Under the agreement, Enesco will develop giftware and tabletop products, including ornaments, cookie plates, tumblers, banks, musicals and waterballs, based on the Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town animated feature. Holiday ornaments will roll out to chain-drug outlets in the second quarter of 2003, with products shipping by August and in stores by November. Expanded product formats will be available at mass-market retailers in 2004 and beyond.

This was greeted with alot of enthusiasm! ALEX ROSS is doing some new art for it as well and PC HAMERLINK is editing and designing the book! PC is a noted CAPTAIN MARVEL/C.C. BECK biographer. |

Also look for the newly released THE DISNEY TREASURES by Robert Tieman. Another long awaited book with actual reproductions of artifacts from the DISNEY archives, which also includes an audio CD with WALT DISNEY telling his own story and GREAT commercials from the early days of DISNEYLAND among other snipets! What a GREAT idea for a book! Let's hope DISNEY takes a cue from this GREAT effort and does more to preserve the DISNEY archives! |
