IT'S COMING! THE MAKING OF A CHRISTMAS CLASSIC: RANKIN/BASS' RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER book is progressing nicely with Doug Ranney guiding the design. We want to THANK our Japanese friends for rounding up some AMAZING Behind-the-scenes photos to show everyone once and for all how 'ANIMAGIC' was done and how the figures were made! A BIG Thanks goes out to Masaki Iizuka, Hiroshi Tabata, Kyoko Kita, Ichiro Komuro (Pinchan) and Mrs. Mochinaga. Their input and assistance have made this book complete and for that I am eternally grateful.

We haven't decided if this book will be a limited Hardcover release or a paperback only release BUT whichever format it takes on...you will be able to BUY it from RANKINBASS.com. RELEASE DATE: Fall, 2001.

MARCO has arrived on DVD!

"The film looks better on DVD than it did when it was originally released to the theaters in 1973," says Arthur Rankin. The DVD does have an AMAZING look and sound to it and now we get to see 'ANIMAGIC' letter-boxed. The "Peace Berries" ANIMAGIC section is worth the price of admission alone. The songs by Muller/Laws are enjoyable and Romeo even appears in the film. No RANKIN/BASS DVD collection would be complete without this one. Check AMAZON.com for purchase.

SHEET MUSIC in the RANKIN/BASS archives!

Maury Laws has sent us some wonderful sheet music from the RANKIN/BASS archives. While RANKIN/BASS sheet music is extremely RARE, we will be sharing a sheet from time to time, like this lost KING KONG (Theme) sheet music. When a ROBIE LESTER (Jessica Kringle) autographed picture is ordered, we will include a copy of the dialogue page from the SANTA CLAUS IS COMIN' TO TOWN script which includes the lyrics to "My World Is Beginning Today." Music has played a HUGE role in these specials and RANKINBASS.com appreciates this fact. More CD raffles coming, including THE NEW ADVENTURES OF PINOCCHIO and SANTA CLAUS IS COMIN' TO TOWN.
